hampton roads tattoo festival
The Hampton Road’s 4th Annual Tattoo Arts Festival will be held on March 7th, 8th, and 9th 2014 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center located at 1610 Coliseum Drive in Hampton, Virginia.
The Hampton Roads Tattoo Arts Festival promises to be an unforgettable event and the first of its kind in the area. The show plans to attract a wide variety of artists from around the globe, specializing in every style of tattooing imaginable. Over the weekend, there will be live tattooing for the public, fully-catered concession stands, and various bars throughout the convention hall. Other events will include – live music and entertainment, tattoo contests, live painting, and tons of door prizes. It is sure to be a great time for you and the entire family
Dynamic Life Drawing
Do your figure drawings lack get-up-and-go? Are your cartoons in need of some visual verve? Characters lazy and lifeless? Well, then this is the workshop you have been looking for!
In this intensive four hour session, we will cover natural and exaggerated anatomy, dynamic locomotion and a little character development. The principles of line quality, line of action, motivation (and more) used by illustrators, comic artists and animators will be discussed and demonstrated. A model will be available so that we can do quick studies and a few longer poses. Bring pencils, pens, sketchbooks or loose paper and a drawing board and get ready to kick your figure drawing skills up to the next level!
